Seashore Gleaning Center
A Ministry to Lower Township, Cape May County
10am to 12pm Noon
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
For many years our food pantry was a little closet located off of the sanctuary. In 2009 a large storage unit was built off of our Fellowship Hall and the following year a 6’ x 6’ section was enclosed in this storage unit to house our pantry. In 2012 the storage unit was sectioned off giving us a new space approximately 10’ x 12’. We saw the growing need to help our local community and after careful consideration a full time Compassionate Care Coordinator was brought in to oversee and maintain this area of ministry. In 2013 the Ministry Center was built and now houses both our Thrift store and Food Pantry.
Our Gleaning Center is supported by private donors & organizations including; Cold Springs Presbyterian Church, Stan Tees Ministries, Tabernacle Methodist Church, Assembly of God, Cape May Fire House, the Key Club of Lower Township Regional High School, Rio Grande Post Office, the Food Bank of Southern New Jersey, Acme, Wawa and Shop Rite.
In the past year we have met the needs of over 700 individual families and 3500 people with perishable & non perishable goods. Our thanks go out to the many organizations and businesses in our local community who have made our ministry a success. Without them we couldn’t meet the many needs of our community. In our quest to continue support to lower Cape May, we look forward to your continued and unselfish donations.
